The
female tends her chicks and the male brings them food.
All appears to be going well, but on Sunday night (4th
May) no adult birds stayed in the box overnight and by
Monday morning the chicks were looking the worse for
ware and were not taking food. No adult birds stayed in
the box on Monday night either and Tuesday morning
revealed the sad truth. There were no surviving
chicks. |
