In the Dorset village of Cranborne are some extraordinary
buildings including an Earth House, a Round House, a Viking
Longhouse and a Roman forge. This is the Ancient Technology
Centre where visitors can take a step back in time and
experience life during the various ages of our history and
can learn ancient skills including the making of fire. |

The Ancient Technology Centre Open Weekend provided an
opportunity for the public to enjoy the reconstructed
historic buildings including the finished Viking Longhouse,
which was completed on the 14th May 2010.
Hrafnslith - The Ancient Technology Centre was host to
Viking re-enactors over the weekend providing an insight
into Viking crafts and lifestyles. |
